Herford women’s counselling service

Frauenberatungsstelle Herford e.V. und Notruf is a women’s counselling service which offers easily accessible counselling for women in every situation in life. The counselling service supports women from the age of 18 who live in the district of Herford.

Women who have experienced (domestic) violence or abuse (e.g. sexual assault) or are faced with a crisis or problems can contact the counselling service and the hotline. Advice is offered free of charge and can be provided anonymously on request. As well as counselling, the service also includes accompanying women to the police, lawyers or court. Relatives, supporters and specialists in the field can also contact the women’s counselling service. In addition, we provide workshops, group schemes and training in our key topics.

Counselling can also be provided with an interpreter by prior request.

Monday to Friday: 9 – 10 a.m.

Counselling hours (in person, without prior registration):
Tuesdays: 3 – 5 p.m.
Thursdays: 10 a.m. – 12 noon

Please note:
Due to the Corona pandemic the counselling hours are taking place only via telephone. If counceling in English cannot be provided we will arrange an appointment with an interpreter.
